Epoxidized Soybean Oil (ESO/ESBO) is a non-toxic, clear to yellow liquid that serves as a highly effective plasticizer and stabilizer for plastic materials, particularly PVC and its copolymers. Derived from the oxidation of natural soybean oil with hydrogen peroxide and acetic or formic acid, ESO is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional phthalate plasticizers like DOP.
Due to its biodegradability, low cost, and non-toxic properties, it is widely utilized across various industries, including functional fluids, fuel additives, agricultural molecules, and UV cure applications.
